Join us for the 3rd annual Huckleberry Jam, part of the 2017 RunAbout Race Series. The Jam is a 7.4 mile point-to-point race beginning at RunAbout Sports in Blacksburg, utilizing the entire length of the eponymous rail trail and finishing at the Christiansburg Rec Center. Shuttles will be available to transport runners back to RunAbout Sports upon completion. On July 28th, 2017, Blood Assurance is having a Battle of the Badges Blood Drive at the Abingdon Police Department (425 West Main Street) from 9am-7pm. All first responders and the public are challenged to come and give blood to help save a life. This is a competition between the Washington County Life Saving Crew, Washington County Sherriff’s Office, Abingdon Fire Department and the Abingdon Police Department to see who can have the most donors from each organization.
