BACKCOUNTRY COLONIAL DAY CAMP 2017 Life in Backcountry Colonial Virginia and the Battle of Kings Mountain The Abingdon Muster Grounds will host a free day camp, June 26-30, 2017 for children ages 9-11. The Capitol Theater in Downtown Greeneville, TN will host a series of theatre camps, called Capitol Kids, for young actors ages 5 to 18 the last week of June. All sessions will be taught by theatre veterans Steve and Erin Hensley Schultz. During the week, Campers will have their own script, and own performances on Friday evening, June 30. By popular demand, we are offering a new Kid’s in The Kitchen Cooking Camp this year for ages 8-12. Modeled after our popular Sizzlin’ in The Kitchen Summer Teen Camp, this camp will be geared to younger children, but with the same format of having a different chef teach an exciting subject each day. From baking to breakfast to fixing lunch, snacks and in between, the kids will learn about simple knife skills, kitchen safety, proper ways to read recipes, measuring, and basic skills. Camp Courage is a free, one-day camp that helps kids who have lost loved ones, like a grandparent, parent, or sibling, and is open to children throughout Northeast Tennessee, kindergarten through eigth grade.
