Well....I've just recently taken my mom to the ER in Bristol and she was admitted for 10 days and now at Christian Care Rehab . They did a fantastic job, and went beyond the call of duty, doctors, nurses, cna`s, staff, I'm very pleased and give them a great rating !

I just went to the ER and with insurance cost me over $500. Now the first assist I like going to is closing. Because it takes my primary care physician a week to schedule me in. I go to first assist because it's usually two or 3 hours to get into wellmont if it is flu season. Not to mention the ER did not help me and sent me to my primary doctor so I could be referred to a specialist. That means more out of pocket expenses. Healthcare is a joke! I am young, I cannot imagine what the elderly are dealing with.

Now now. Ballad Health calls it restructuring to it's employees. BS. It's called snow job so ppl think it's because of duplicate services. I have tried to tell everyone to watch it was going to happen. Next will be the hospitals in Greenville and Rogersville Tennessee. It's ridiculous when they can't even print sn itemized bill for someone saying that they don't do the billing. I lost my insurance due to job loss with Mtn States and i can't afford to pay for the high priced coverage that's offered that will cover my drs. I tried to talk to the FTC about all of this and they don't care. Ballad Health is endorsed by Eadtman Chamber of commerce and a couple of big businesses in Kingsport is what an article said in the Times News or one of the TV stations. Just watch there's more to come. They need to get rid of some of the ppl that run the offices and get 1 person to run them and put them all in one central location.

This is why I never agreed with the merger. The people in this area are screwed !

In Abingdon they are closing the best of the two!! The “old” Wellmont one has not so nice people working front desk. One time they even told my husband and I to go across town, rudely I might add to the First Assist one. I HATE THIS change!

With the lousy Obamacare insurance, you are not allowed to go to emergency room, you HAVE to use urgent care. The closest one I can use with Cigna is in Kingsport. Now it's closing? I knew this merger would be a disaster. If Ballard is going to close all these then they need to negotiate with Cigna to have better coverage.

Ballad health is a joke . Worst service I have ever received at wellmont . A real disaster at wellmont my last two occasions to have to go there . They could not find my orders for tests when I got there . Drove home 25 miles away . Called me and had found them . Went back the next morning, same thing could not locate them again .

Closing Urgent Care ?? Why ? They want Pp to go there instead of ER. I understand that. But now ,to close them! Please explain Ballard !!!!!

This article comes after they were just begging everyone to visit urgent care facilities instead of the ER if not life threatening and after hours to save on tax payer dollars....

And it has started. Just wait and see what happens next.

I am very concerned about the quality of health care we will be receiving in the future. On a recent visit to Indian Path ER with my aunt we were treated so rudely by the physician we finally just gave up. He refused to determine the root of her problem and just wanted to give her pain meds. That isn’t treatment!!!

Wait times will be awful now. One place in town with still the same number of employees. Stay well people - we can't afford to be sick with Ballad around.

Knew this was going to happen!! They lied the whole time saying it wouldn't change anything!! Look out what's next!!

The avalanche continues!!! Rise up East Tennessee and Sw Virginia! Demand an end to this unjust monopoly....

The merger sure ruined Wellmont. Every time I hear something related to it, it’s bad news. Billing got awful. It’s like they’re punishing the patients to make up for the debt that MSHA went into the deal with (ie payment plans monthly payment tripled when you try to add post-merger visits, but there was no heads-up about it). And changes to good things the employees could do when it was Wellmont. And layoffs. And this. Merger ruined a good hospital system to try to save a bad one.

Capitalism and quality health care do not mix well.

This is upsetting. My doctor doesn't do same day appointments, so where am I supposed to go when I need seen same day? The only reason I don't have to reschedule my surgery is because they were able to see me when my physician doesn't. 😥

What is going on here anymore? Everywhere you look all is merging! We the people need to do more merging I think!!

So glad I quit when I did! I knew this was coming.
Thursday, May 3rd, 2018
More money for them less patient care for us😣
Thursday, May 3rd, 2018
It was going to happen but I’m sad for those affected. Good servants to those cared for all those years.

I knew this merger would be a bad thing.
