    Visitors enjoyed watching Bill Collison's wood turning demonstration at our Sawdust Festival at the end of last month. One of his results is this lovely spalted maple bowl. In the natural spalting process, the wood starts to decay but then dries out, forming these unusual dark contrasting lines.
