The suspect wanted in this morning’s theft of a pickup truck and handgun from exit 29 has turned himself in to authorities.
Matthew Allen Barr, age 26, from 752 Henery Street, Marion VA, turned himself in to authorities at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon shortly after noon today. Barr was wanted in connection with the theft which occurred at a gas station at exit 29 around 2:00 AM today. Barr was charged with two felony grand larceny warrants, one for the theft of the vehicle and one for theft of a firearm, he was released on a $5,000 unsecure bond.

What is the real story? Why would he leave his own vehicle and steal another vehicle? Just don't make any sense to me

Lord, bless his heart. Just as you did mine when I reaped my storm. I hate the internet and social media for this reason and a few others. 99% of the population will automatically assume and further more look upon this man with judgement. We've all made mistakes. Why are we all so focused other's?
