Company Overview

Celebrate Bristol is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the citizens of the Twin-Cities proud of our history & culture. We partner with other organizations and both city governments to organize quality community events and encourage Bristol as a tourist destination. The organization is made up of civic, business and government leaders who organize Bristol's annual Independence celebration, Star-Spangled Weekend. Other recent city-wide events include the historic Bristol Slogan Sign Centennial (April 2010), the Grand Re-opening of the Bristol Union Railway Station (July 2009) and the Celebrate Bristol AACA Car Cruise-in each Friday evening in downtown Bristol. Celebrate Bristol was originally formed as the Bristol Sesquicentennial Committee, formed by both city councils in May of 2004 to plan the 150th Anniversary of the Twin-Cities. After 81 events and projects spanning 14 months on January 16, 2008 the committee was re-organized as Celebrate Bristol to develop an annual Independence observance in downtown Bristol.
