Description

Generations United is a group of individuals uniting to provide Christian outreach events to the Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky region. Established in 2014 by Eric Estep and Chad Cooper, Jackie Pruitt, Chad's wife Letisha, and Jerry Ward produced the first Generations United on June 21, 2014. We are from a diverse group of churches and denominations. We believe we have more in common as believers in Jesus Christ than in what makes us different.

In 2014, with hearts for the Hurley, Virginia community, Generations United produced an outreach event unlike anything that had been held in that area. The focus was God's power of restoration and redemption from addiction. Over 200 people attended Generations United June 21, 2014 at Hurley High School. Souls were saved, lives were transformed, and a community was united despite generational and denominational walls.

The success of Generations United prompted interest to have a second event. 2015 brought a changed perspective; as well as location, in order to unite Buchanan, Dickenson and Pike Counties in turning our hearts back toward God. Generations United 2 was held at the Breaks Interstate Park Amphitheater on July 18, 2015 with over 500 people in attendance. Over 14 people were baptized into Christ, lives were transformed and renewed, individuals received healing, and people came together to worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords despite age or denominational background. We are blessed by our community's support and encouragement for these outreach events.

Mission

Generations United exists to unite the body of Christ despite generational or denomination walls. We believe we have more in common as believers and followers of Jesus Christ than in what makes us different.
