SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY: The purpose of our social media presence is to inform our audience of Festival activities, promote Festival programs and partnerships, and answer any questions people might have about the Festival and its programs. As a community-driven event, the Festival is open to people of all ages, backgrounds, beliefs and abilities, so let’s all play nice and remember that we get to come together each year to have fun and inspire creativity. All comments should be posted in that spirit and attitude. This page is set up so that anyone can add photos or video of their Festival experience to the page, and anyone can comment, but only admins can post original content. This does not mean that this website is a democratic resource allowing you to say whatever you like. Personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, sexually suggestive content, are not permitted. We welcome constructive criticism and comments; however, this is a moderated page. Blatantly false, incendiary, defamatory, or misleading posts and comments will be deleted, and we reserve the right to block any users who continue to post unconstructive or spam content. The last rule: the admins’ judgment on what will be best for the enjoyment of the public on this page will be the final call as to whether a post is deleted or a user is blocked. If you have a complaint or gripe about the page, the Festival website, or the Festival itself, you can and should email the Festival staff and we will discuss it with you personally. Email info@VaHighlandsFestival. org. During the days surrounding the Festival, we also enable the “Message” feature so that you may PM the admins. By using the Festival page you agree to be held accountable to these rules and agree to the conditions of violation, and understand that we may take administrative actions in response to certain postings which violate the media policy stated above.
